USPS Shipping Zones Explained
USPS shipping zones are determined by the distance between the origin and destination ZIP codes - not geographic regions. Zone 1 is the shortest distance (typically same city or region), while Zone 8 is the longest (cross-country). Zones 1 and 2 are often the same rate for Priority Mail.
